Once upon a
time, she sent me a postcard saying that place was the most wonderful landscape
she had ever been. She said it would be nice to have a nice partner to share
with her that beautiful horizon and count how many colors the flowers may have
there. The sky was very dark here when I got her card and all the stars were
faded. Everywhere you looked around was so sad, but her card. Her smile in a
picture inside the card could bring the brightness back to the sky, lightning
up all the stars immediately! Then, a smile came in my face.
All the
songs I heard Sting singing came into my head and I got the Fields of Gold in
my heart. I started singing it out loud, expecting she could hear it.
Obviously, she couldn’t, but somewhere inside me it said that she would. And
then I did it again. Again and again.
Do you
really know, girl, what the fields of barley mean to all this stuff? What about
that smile? Is it for me? Oh, my piece of golden sky, you don’t know how much
playing at these fields with seems like a delicious moment of eternity in life
to me.
From this
moment on, I’ll be trying to find you, wherever the stars point to you. I’ll give
a bigger and brighter smile, so you can see it wherever you are. And I’ll be
with you, so we can roll on the fields of barley and make all our fields of
gold.
